We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Grant Committee for their exceptional work in handling the hung-vote situation. Their dedication, expertise, and swift evaluation of all implications have been truly commendable. The Committee’s commitment to finding the best possible outcome reflects their deep care for the Moonbeam community. We are grateful for their efforts in ensuring a fair and transparent governance process.
We also value transparency as a core principle of our DAO, and we constantly strive to provide as much information as possible to the community. However, we believe that this topic in the Moonbeam forum may not be the most suitable place for an in-depth discussion on a statement of yours. For those who are interested solely in the update on Tranche 2, we apologize in advance if our response becomes lengthy.
As part of our commitment to transparency and openness, we want to clarify some important details regarding the voting process during the Tranche 2 Snapshot vote. Before continuing, I would like to clarify that I had a conversation with Lord GLMR and the rest of the DAO, and they shared additional screenshots that provide a more comprehensive and chronological perspective of the voting process. We can easily provide the date and time of every screenshot if needed to verify their authenticity. In this regard, you can find attached screenshots of each day’s vote count in this post to provide complete transparency about the developments:
While all the information presented is relevant, the most intriguing aspect is the data from the final day of voting, July 28. On this day, we observed that our vote count, along with others, experienced a temporary decrease before rising again. This occurrence strongly suggests that vote-shifting took place, involving multiple participants in the voting process, not only TFA, which raises concerns about your comment.
What is more, we as TFA DAO fully support the discussion about potential changes to the voting mechanics on snapshot.org. As you might remember, TFA DAO were the first ones who promptly reported an issue on Twitter as well as directly to the Moonbeam team about a potential bug in the voting system on snapshot.org, which had not been discovered during the Tranche 1 voting but could easily be exploited. This highlights the importance of vigilance and continuous improvement to maintain the integrity of the voting process.
Ensuring transparency and fairness in the voting process is crucial for the integrity of the ecosystem. We believe that any improvements that promote a more transparent outcome will benefit the entire community and contribute to a stronger and more reliable governance system.
We are here to foster a collaborative environment, where constructive discussions and feedback are welcomed. As we move forward, we encourage all members of the Moonbeam community, including the Treasury Council, to engage in constructive dialogue and adhere to Moonbeam’s Code of Conduct. We believe that respectful communication fosters a positive and inclusive environment, allowing us to work together towards our shared goals.
