Hello @xenia_kk11 ,

Thank you for your detailed application and your contributions to the blockchain ecosystem.
Here are a few points I’d like to clarify to better understand your vision:

  1. What types of projects or initiatives do you consider to be priorities for the use of Treasury funds?
  2. How would you integrate your legal expertise to support the Board, while ensuring regulatory compliance and respecting the principles of decentralisation?
  3. Can you share a concrete example of how you have strengthened community involvement or facilitated collective decision-making in a previous project?

I look forward to hearing more about your vision and approach to supporting the Moonbeam ecosystem!

hey Ksenija, thanks for applying for the treasury council

i have some questions to better understand your expertise and whether you’re aligned with the role:

  1. how would this hands-on experience help you assess infrastructure proposals for Moonbeam & Moonriver? can you provide specific examples of how you’d apply this knowledge to treasury evaluations?
  1. can you provide specific examples of proposals you voted on? what was your reasoning behind your votes, and how did those decisions align with Moonbeam’s goals?

  2. regarding community engagement, what’s your discord or telegram handle? how can we verify your engagement in moonbeam community groups?

  3. do you have any experience evaluating the technical and financial needs of infrastructure providers like RPC providers, block explorers, wallets, etc? if not, how would you ensure you make informed decisions in these areas?

  4. if the treasury receives multiple proposals from rpc providers offering similar services, how would you decide which one to fund?

  5. do you have experience drafting or reviewing governance proposals?

Hello @rom1.dot !

Thank you for your questions and the chance to share my perspective on supporting the Moonbeam ecosystem.

  1. I believe Treasury funds should focus on projects that strengthen the foundation of the ecosystem and help it grow sustainably. For example, improving core infrastructure, like reliable RPC services to ensure smooth network performance.
Supporting advanced wallet integrations that make it easy for users to interact with the network. Developing accessible tools, like block explorers, to empower developers and users.

  2. With regulations tightening globally, I see this as both a challenge and an opportunity for Moonbeam. My legal experience can help to stay compliant with global regulations without losing sight of Moonbeam’s decentralized principles. Build better connections with regulators, advocating for policies that protect innovation while addressing legal requirements. As well as simplify complex regulations for the community, helping everyone stay informed and confident.
It’s all about finding the right balance—staying compliant while keeping decentralization at the heart of everything Moonbeam does.

  3. I’ve been actively involved in communities like Taiko, Sandbox, Kadena, and Covalent, where I focused on:
    • Welcoming and guiding newcomers to help them get started and feel included.
    • Translating and creating content to make technical topics more accessible for everyone.
    • Collecting community feedback and working with teams to implement it, ensuring every voice was heard.
For example, in one project, I worked closely with both the team and the community to turn a popular proposal into reality, which built trust and strengthened engagement.

I’m excited about the opportunity to bring my skills and experience to Moonbeam and help it grow even further.

Hello @turrizt

  1. My experience running validators and collaborating with dev teams has given me a solid understanding of what makes infrastructure both valuable and sustainable. For example, if a block explorer integration is proposed, I’d evaluate whether it is user-friendly, supports essential functionalities, and aligns with the broader goals of Moonbeam. I focus on technical rigor and realistic growth forecasts to ensure Treasury funds are spent wisely. This approach allows me to scrutinize proposals critically and support those with the highest impact.

  2. I supported a proposal to fund additional RPC endpoints during a load-testing phase. The reasoning was clear: reliable and well-documented RPC services are essential for developers. This proposal aimed to improve accessibility for builders, enhance reliability, and onboard new users, all of which align with Moonbeam’s goal of fostering a developer-friendly ecosystem.

  3. I primarily use Telegram for day-to-day activities, and my handle is @ksenijakuzmina. On Discord, my previous nickname was crypomania#6168, which I used for Moonbeam and Polkadot-related projects before Discord’s policy updates. These accounts reflect my active participation in community discussions.

  4. Yes, I have the technical understanding needed, thanks to my experience running validators and working closely with technical teams. On the financial side, I’ve worked extensively in fintech, particularly in AML and transaction-related roles.

  5. I’d start by reviewing the basic metrics—uptime, speed, and cost. However, I’d go further by assessing how responsive the providers are to community feedback and whether they’ve demonstrated adaptability as the ecosystem grows. A provider’s ability to align with Moonbeam’s long-term goals and support the community is just as important as their technical offerings.

  6. I have reviewed governance proposals extensively, especially within DAO ecosystems, which is a natural part of my crypto journey. While I haven’t drafted official governance proposals for crypto projects, I’ve contributed unofficial proposals as both a lawyer and an ambassador. My legal background equips me with the analytical skills necessary for drafting effective proposals when needed.
