Abstract
For a fixed monthly cost of $2600 (or a total of $15,600 for Q2 and Q3, 2025) RadiumBlock will provide;
- High-performance RPC endpoints for Moonbeam, Moonriver, and Moonbase-alpha
- Bootnodes
- Snapshots
- No rate limits
- Guarantee of strict adherence to Moonbeam’s Code of Conduct
- Support for eth_getLogs RPC method
- Enterprise-grade infrastructure and security as standard
Motivation
RadiumBlock has already been providing services for the Moonbeam networks. Reliable RPC services are critical to ensuring seamless interaction with the Moonbeam, Moonriver, and Moonbase-Alpha networks. Developers require consistent uptime, low-latency connections, and security assurances. RadiumBlock’s infrastructure guarantees near 100% uptime, optimized support for essential Ethereum-compatible RPC methods like eth_getLogs
, and a dedicated team to monitor and maintain high-performance connectivity.
Project Overview and Team Experience
Project Overview:
RadiumBlock will provide:
- Secure, high-availability RPC endpoints for Moonbeam, Moonriver, and Moonbase-Alpha.
- Bootnodes to improve network resilience.
- Snapshots to enhance developer experience and reduce sync times.
- Enterprise-grade infrastructure with DNS-based load balancing, security measures, and automated failovers.
Team Experience:
RadiumBlock, a subsidiary of RealWeb LLC (est. 2004), has extensive experience managing blockchain infrastructure. The team comprises five senior engineers and 15 support engineers providing 24/7 monitoring and maintenance. RadiumBlock has successfully deployed RPC services for over 20 blockchain networks and consistently supported the Moonbeam network.
Rationale
By ensuring seamless network access, RadiumBlock will enable Moonbeam developers to focus on innovation without worrying about infrastructure management. The decentralized and globally distributed nature of RadiumBlock’s RPC services ensures redundancy, security, and cost efficiency. RadiumBlock has been a long-time contributor to the Polkadot and Moonbeam ecosystems and continues to refine its services for optimal performance.
Overall Cost
The total budget for the proposal is $15,600 for Q2 and Q3 of 2025, covering:
$2,600 per month for RPC services, boot nodes, snapshots, and infrastructure maintenance.
Use of Treasury Funds
The requested treasury funds of $15,600 will be allocated to infrastructure costs for maintaining and optimizing high-performance RPC endpoints, snapshots, and bootnodes for the Moonbeam, Moonriver, and Moonbase-Alpha networks throughout Q2 and Q3 of 2025 . This funding will cover server operations, continuous monitoring, security enhancements, and technical support , ensuring uninterrupted uptime, scalability, and enterprise-grade security. Additionally, it includes administrative and operational expenses required to sustain a robust and developer-friendly infrastructure that supports the growing demands of the Moonbeam ecosystem.
Deliverables:
- RPC endpoints continuously maintained for Moonbeam, Moonriver, and Moonbase-Alpha with near 100% uptime.
- Bootnodes - already up and running for seamless peer-to-peer network connectivity.
- Snapshots - already set-up in ParityDB to improve synchronization speeds for new nodes. The links are provided in the full proposal.
