[Proposal: 95] Recover Locked PINK Tokens

Abstract

This proposal aims to recover some PINK tokens from a failed XCM transfer that executed properly in AH-Polkadot but failed in execution on Moonbeam. Consequently, the tokens are held by Moonbeam’s sovereign account in AH-Polkadot but the user did not receive the xcPINK in Moonbeam. The cause of the XCM execution failures is the same as this previous forum post.

The transfer in question can be found in this link. Summary:

  • Amount: 127330.7735999999 PINK
  • Sender: 16Q6TTUdHWJVNu82zNuehhYhFSoaitxwtM4y73TgKi8fQdUo

At the time of writing, Moonbeam sovereign account does hold enough PINK tokens to refund the user (as expected). After transferring to the user, the sovereign account will have a positive balance of around 11 PINK tokens.

Hey @AlbertoV19 is this failed transfer a result from the XCM changes in the past? Was this a recent failure or failed few months back and now attempting to return?

Hey,

This XCM transfer happened after the initial batch that our Governance proposal helped recover.

I believe it was due to HydraDX not fully patching all cases for XCM transfers via their dApp, but I believe that was patched shortly after this last XCM transfer that failed.
