Call for Proposals — RPC Service Provisioning Q2 2026 & Q3 2026

A Foundation of Connectivity

A robust infrastructure of high-quality RPC services continues to be the backbone of the Moonbeam ecosystem. These services provide the critical bridge that enables developers and applications to seamlessly interact with the Moonriver, Moonbeam, and Moonbase Alpha networks. As we approach a new 6-months funding cycle, we’re again reaching out to both our valued existing RPC service providers and potential new partners.

Recent Developments

For Q4 2025 and Q1 2026, the Treasury Council settled on funding proposals from UnitedBlock and OnFinality, supporting their continued great service to Moonbeam’s RPC robust infrastructure. The quality and reliability of these services have been a fundamental building block, contributing to our ecosystem’s growth, stability and success in development activity.

Call for New Proposals

The Treasury Council now invites all RPC service providers — both current partners and newcomers — to submit proposals for the upcoming Q2 2026 + Q3 2026 funding period.

Proposal Requirements

Your submission should include:

  • Detailed description of core services to be provided
  • Estimated call volumes and comprehensive cost breakdown
  • Pricing in USD denomination
  • Inclusion of the eth_getLogs RPC method (required)
  • Information about bootnode operation on all three networks (if applicable)

Important Dates & Submission Process

  • Submission Deadline: March 10th, 2026, 11:59 PM UTC.
  • Submission Location: Create a new topic under the Governance — Treasury Proposals section here in the Forum.

Evaluation Criteria

Finding the balance between service quality, decentralization, and expenditure responsibility remains our top priority. Submitted proposals will be evaluated on:

  • Cost efficiency and value proposition
  • Service quality metrics and guarantees
  • Decentralization strategy, redundancy measures, and geographic distribution
  • Proven track record in blockchain RPC service provisioning
  • History of cost optimization while maintaining service excellence
  • Past contributions to the Moonbeam ecosystem
  • Adherence to the Moonbeam Code of Conduct
  • For incumbents, disruption costs if services were to be curtailed
  • Trace & Trace API service capabilities
  • Implementation of the eth_getLogs RPC method

Treasury Flow and Funding Mechanism

Following the enactment of RT3401 on Moonriver and Moonbeam earlier this year, our improved New Treasury Flow will affect the funding process.

  • Funding requests are to be submitted USD-denominated only
  • Starting with with Q2 2026 RPC funding will be paid out in stablecoins
  • Funding will be paid out upfront and separately for each quarter

This approach decreases efforts of submitting a proposal and removes the requirement for any funds to be locked up, eliminating the risk of slashed deposits.

Post-Submission Process

After the submission period closes:

  1. The Treasury Council will review all proposals internally
  2. We may reach out with questions and clarification requests in comments below your forum post
Please monitor the forum closely during this review period to address any inquiries promptly
  3. The Council will publicly signal its support or non-support for each proposal and give reasoning on its assessments
  4. With the New Treasury Flow in place now, selected winners will be asked to submit a beneficiary address for Moonbeam and Moonriver
  5. We will then inform the beneficiaries once we have put the proposals on-chain and approved them on-chain
  6. Approved proposal payouts will be executed at the end of each networks current spend period (6 day intervals)

Building Together

The bi-annual proposal cycle ensures an equitable, transparent process for all stakeholders while allowing the Treasury Council to maintain predictability in long-term expenditures. We remain committed to supporting high-quality infrastructure that powers our growing ecosystem.

Let’s Hear From You!

The @TreasuryCouncil highly appreciates all proposal submissions! — From established RPC service providers in our ecosystem to prospective new partners, we are looking forward to reviewing and evaluating all RPC service proposals.

Special shoutout to:
UnitedBlock @blackk_magiik, Blast @Mihai_BwareLabs, Dwellir @benn_69, Onfinality @Daniel_Vulinovich, GetBlock @0xpcgb and Radiumblock @Abhayan_RadiumBlock

Hey everyone,

Thank you to all teams who participated in this RFP and submitted proposals for RPC service provisioning for Q2 + Q3 2026. We appreciate the continued support and the high quality of submissions across the board.

Following the Treasury Council review, the selected service providers for this 6 months term are:

The outcome was competitive, with strong proposals from multiple teams. In particular, we want to acknowledge OnFinality for a very close result, and thank Nodefleet for their submission and effort.

As part of our ongoing treasury operations update, payouts for the selected providers will be conducted in Moonbeam native USDC.

Thanks again to all participants — we look forward to continued collaboration and future proposals :sparkles:

if one of the vendors cant complete their Q, are you calling again?

… Is that a threat? We’ve had reports of WS call DDOS attacks before

In all seriousness. Given the high reputation and track records of the selected providers we don’t view that as a likely scenario given the strong track records and reliability of the selected providers.

That said, if any unexpected issues were to arise that impact service delivery, the council would address the situation accordingly, which would include convening an extraordinary review and taking appropriate action.

Appreciate the question.

no guys, just to know!

sorry for the misunderstanding

Not at all — no worries!

It’s just not a scenario we consider very likely at this point, given the providers’ track records, but if anything were to arise, we would address it proactively as needed ofc. That said, any degradation in quality of service would naturally be taken into account during the evaluation for the next funding term.

More generally, we do value accountability mechanisms. For example, OnFinality previously introduced SLA-based penalties for missed performance targets, which we appreciated.

Thanks again for the question!
